What is jump rope?
It's a real thing, and it's probably not what you think it is. What started as an activity for kids on a playground has grown into so much more.
When we hear "jump rope", the average person might reminisce on their childhood years or maybe think about cross fit jumping, but what we do is much more than that. There is a whole world of jump ropers across the country and around the world. Teams are popping up everywhere; there are currently 21 established college teams in the US, and Cal Poly Jump Rope Club is in the process of becoming recognized as one of these. However, jump rope teams can be found around the world. This year's World Jump Rope Championships will be held in Colorado Springs, CO, and will host 3,000 participants from 30 countries.

Jump Rope is becoming more popular every year, and it is on its way to becoming an Olympic sport. Through this club, we hope to spread our love of jump roping to Cal Poly students and our community.
